How were these beautiful glass products made from vast amounts of Colombian mine waste material mixed with ubiquitous yet familiar materials, in collaboration with local community members? Simon Ballen, a young designer based in the Netherlands and his home country Colombia, will talk about the “Suelo Orfebre” project (exhibited for the first time in Japan) as well as his other on-going initiatives. *Japanese/English consecutive interpretation available
