“its size derives from the fact that i often make miniature versions, so i can oversee and judge my design. for every major exhibition of my work, i create a little red book to accompany it. this fourth edition contains an overview of my own library and a selection of works i studied at the vatican library in rome.”
— Irma Boom

"Book Activist" is the fourth edition of Irma Boom’s red mini-book. The publication surveys her work over 500 books across about 40 years, while exploring the nature of the printed book from multiple perspectives.
